Fab little italian! We booked Roma in advance before going to the Sunderland Empire Theatre, I just emailed them using details from the website and they came back to say the booking was received nice and easy. And I'm glad we did book in advance because this place is pretty small with only a handful of tables, a few people did get turned away as they were fully booked. Lovely, friendly staff really friendly and welcoming. The food was really good value for money and great portions too! Would recommend if your looking for somewhere before a show, and I would not hesitate to return again in the future too.

Great value and service. We ate from the Happy hour menu today . We had the Potato skins and Garlic mushrooms to start , both great tasting and plentiful. We upgraded to the chicken option for Mains . The Chicken Kiev and Chicken Romana both cooked perfectly and packed full of flavour.

Great value, tasty food and excellent service

Excellent! Good atmosphere, small, cosy restaurant. Welcoming, attentive staff, delicious food, had a lovely meal tonight, couldn't fault any of it, really tasty, fresh and delicious. Wait time was just right, didn't feel rushed and didn't feel as if we were waiting too long. Prices probably on a par with other Italian restaurants. Will definitely return.

Fabulous meal! Visited for a pre-theatre meal and couldn’t fault anything. The service was spot on and the food was amazing. They have a happy hour menu but we ate from the normal menu as we were too tempted by the fish dishes. The lobster ravioli special came with loads of prawns in the sauce and the Biscoff cheesecake was superb! Every table was occupied and in the time we were there they had to turn several people away so I’d recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Location is perfect for the Sunderland Empire which is just a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be returning!
